Almost a decade-and-a-half later and this very car has surfaced for sale through Silverstone Auctions where it’s scheduled to go under the hammer on Saturday, May 22, at which time it is expected to fetch between $540,000 and $631,000. In 2019 this car traded hands once again, before undergoing a ground-up restoration by Prodrive’s ‘Legends Department’ where it was returned to its exact 2004 WRC-spec - including being repainted in its 2004 Rally Japan livery by the exact same person that applied said livery in ’04. ![]() Not long after this WRC Impreza was rebuilt for rally legend Colin McRae to campaign at the Bettega Memorial Rally Sprint in Monza. One such example was the Impreza World Rally Championship racer built by Prodrive for the 2004 season - a car that was ultimately piloted by Petter Solberg to the top rung of the podium at that year’s Rally Japan after claiming 11 stage wins. On 27 June 2013, a remastered version of Colin McRae Rally 2.0, simply titled Colin McRae Rally, was released for iOS devices. This was the last in the series to bear the 'Colin McRae' moniker. First introduced in 1992 as the successor to the Leone, the Subaru Impreza is one of the winningest rally cars of all time, responsible for an enormous slew of wins across dozens of elite events.
